I can receive my email, but cannot send?

This is generally the time this is a result of your ISP blocking port 25 (the SMTP, sending port). Known ISPs that do this are AOL, Earthlink, COX, Comcast, BellSouth and many others. If this is the case, then you will need to use the SMTP server that your ISP suggests. Continue to use the MacDock settings for POP/IMAP.

We also have made port 587 available for sending mail if your ISP is blocking port 25. Most email applications offer the ability to use an alternate SMTP port - try entering 8025 sending mail through that port.

If you are getting a message that says "Relaying Prohibited", this means you are not authenticated on the MacDock mail server. To login, simply check (receive) your email. This logs you into the mail server for a period of twenty minutes. After twenty minutes of inactivity, you will need to check your mail again before you can send mail. This is an additional security measure we've taken to prevent unauthorized use of the mail server by spammers, etc.
