FTP (uploading) Help

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol. Many web design applications now include integrated FTP/Publishing wizards to help you get your site uploaded to our servers very easily.

No matter WHICH   FTP or Design application you use, there are ONLY   THREE   ESSENTIAL   PIECES   OF   INFORMATION   YOU   NEED:

1. Server Name: This will be ftp.yourdoman.com.   If you've just recently transferred or repointed your domain to us be sure to see the information about temporary server/urls under the Domain Help section of the knowledgebase

2. User Name: Your FTP   username will ALWAYS be your domain name, NEVER an email address.   It will be yourdomain.com or yourdomain.net, etc.

3. Password: Your FTP   password is located in your signup information email you received when you created your hosting account.

You can view details on any of the specific FTP clients or design programs listed here to get further specifics that may apply to you.
